Introduction to Thermal Diffusion Flow Switch

The thermal diffusion flow switch is a switch device that uses the difference in probe temperature change to monitor the flow rate of the fluid. Its working principle is to change the temperature difference between the heating sensor and the heat sensor. The heat change caused by the flow of the fluid is converted into an electrical signal. Trigger the switch action. The device is widely used in environmental water treatment, cooling water circulation, oil circuit detection, welding equipment and laser systems. It can effectively monitor the flow of gas or liquid to avoid dry burning of equipment. It is suitable for a variety of pipe diameters and supports continuous adjustment.

After the flow switch is installed, let the medium flow at the flow rate to be monitored and adjust the potentiometer. Make the first green LED just light up. After that, when the flow rate is lower than the current value, the switch is released. If you want to make the switch point smaller than the current flow rate, adjust the potentiometer to make the green LED brighter.

What is the Principle of the Thermal Dispersion Flow Switch?

The thermal diffusion flow switch is based on the thermal principle. Two resistors are contained in the closed probe. One of them is heated as a detection resistor. The other is not heated as a reference resistor. When the medium flows, the heat on the heating resistor is taken away and the resistance value is changed. The difference between the two resistors is used as the basis for judging the flow rate.

The probe uses an anti-scaling coating, which can effectively prevent the adhesion of scale, rust and other dirt in the pipeline.

The flow rate is the key factor in triggering the flow switch. The change in speed of the fluid passing through the flow switch will drive the movement of the internal structure of the switch, thereby triggering the signal output.

Fluid pressure

In addition to flow rate, fluid pressure also plays an important role in the triggering of the flow switch. Unstable or large fluctuations in pressure may have a direct impact on the working state of the flow switch, resulting in misoperation or failure of operation.

Fluid temperature

The working temperature of the fluid can also affect the performance of the flow switch. Extremely high or low temperatures may cause changes in the material properties of the switch components, which in turn affect the stability and accuracy of the switch.
