How do you troubleshoot a Flow Sensor?
The following are the causes and solutions of sensor failure
1. Sensor damage
If the flow sensor is damaged and cannot detect the water flow normally, a new sensor needs to be replaced.
Replacing the sensor requires professional technicians. It is recommended to contact the after-sales service or the manufacturer’s maintenance engineers for replacement.
2. Waterway blockage
Solve the problem by cleaning the waterway.
Users can remove the water pipe of the water heater and flush the waterway with water. Then install it back.
3. External line failure
Such as short circuit, open circuit or virtual connection. Professionals are required to check and repair the line to ensure normal signal transmission.

4. Sensor failure
Such as hot wire or hot mold damage, pollution or control circuit failure.
Damaged parts need to be replaced and the sensor needs to be kept clean and intact.
5. ECU failure
Power supply problems or circuit grounding failures may be caused by poor heat dissipation, water ingress or component damage.
The circuit board needs to be checked and repaired to ensure its normal operation.
6. Abnormal voltage
Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the sensor, which should be 5 volts under normal circumstances.
When air is blown into the sensor, the voltage should change with the flow rate. If the voltage does not change, the sensor may need to be replaced.
7. Mixture adjustment problem
Too lean or too rich a mixture may cause unstable engine idle speed, weak acceleration, increased fuel consumption and abnormal exhaust.
The ratio of the mixed gas needs to be adjusted.
