Static Torque Sensor Introduction

The static torque sensor measures the elastic body without participating in relative motion. It is used in testing machines, static torque detection and other test systems. This test measures the relative reaction force of the elastic body. The most common is a shaft with one end fixed and the other end under tension. Some special designs can statically measure dynamic torque. For example, the torque table for testing motor torque. The motor is fixed on a bench, and the reaction force generated by the motor on the bench during operation is detected and restored to torque.

Static torque sensor measurement range: 0—100000N.m optional. Connection method: single key, double key, flange, and other non-standard customization according to customer requirements.

A static torque sensor converts the strain generated by torque into an electrical signal. It is based on the principle of resistance strain. A static torque sensor is generally used to test occasions where torque changes slowly. The sampling speed is generally less than 50 times per second. It can test the static load torque of manual torque wrenches and transmissions, etc.

More Detail

What is a Torque Converter Sensor?

A torque converter sensor is a sensor used in an automotive automatic transmission system.

It is mainly used to measure and monitor the working status of the torque converter. The torque converter is a key component in an automatic transmission. It is responsible for transmitting the engine’s power to the transmission.

The sensor provides data to the vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU) by monitoring parameters. such as the fluid pressure, temperature, and speed of the torque converter. Optimize the performance of the transmission.

Static Torque Sensor Calibration

1. Prepare calibration equipment:

Prepare standard torque source, high-precision measuring instruments (such as electronic scales, high-precision resistors, etc.), calibration fixtures, etc. Make sure all equipment is calibrated and in good condition.

2. Installation and Fixing:

Install the torque sensor on the calibration fixture. Make sure the sensor is firmly installed and the axis coincides with the axis of the standard torque source.

3. Preheating and Stabilization:

Preheat the sensor according to the sensor manual. Until it reaches a stable state.

4. Zero Calibration: Adjust the sensor output to zero or a preset reference value without torque. Apply a known torque: Use a standard torque source. Apply torque to the sensor step by step according to the predetermined torque value. After each torque application, wait for the sensor output to stabilize and then record the reading.

5. Data analysis and adjustment: Compare the recorded reading with the standard torque value. Calculate the error and draw the error curve. Adjust the sensor parameters such as zero point, sensitivity and linearity according to the error curve. Until the error meets the requirements.

6. Repeat verification: After completing the initial calibration, repeat the above steps for verification. Ensure the stability and reliability of the calibration results.
