What is the Difference between Single Flange and Dual Flange?
Single flange means that the positive pressure side of the transmitter is a flange structure. It is directly connected to the interface of the measuring medium. On the negative pressure side, the pressure pipe is used to connect the measuring medium to the chamber of the transmitter.
The advantage is high measurement accuracy. It can achieve the measurement technical indicators of the transmitter.
The disadvantage is that the negative pressure pipeline must be sealed. And the transmitter needs to be range-shifted. The error of the medium liquid in the negative pressure pipeline should be migrated during calibration.
Double flange means that both the positive and negative pressure sides of the transmitter are flange structures. It can be directly connected to the container and pipeline to be measured.
The advantage is easy installation and convenient calibration. No range migration is required.
The disadvantage is low measurement accuracy. Since the flange and the transmitter are connected by an elastic hose. The inside should be filled with silicone oil.
Therefore, there is a certain deviation in the transmission of medium pressure changes. The external temperature change has some influence on the silicone oil. Therefore, there is a certain error in the measurement reflection.
