What is a PD Flow Meter?
PD flow meter, also known as a volumetric flow meter or a fixed displacement flow meter. This type of flow meter uses a mechanical measuring element to continuously divide the fluid into a single known volume portion. The total volume of the fluid is measured based on the number of times the measuring chamber is repeatedly filled and discharged with the fluid in the volume portion. Common types include oval gear flow meters, swivel flow meters, piston flow meters, scraper flow meters, etc. A positive displacement flow meter is the most accurate type of flow meter. But it has a complex structure and a large size.
